With the HP V100 cable / DSL router, users in smaller offices, branch offices and home offices benefit from reliable and cost-effective shared Internet connections. Up to 253 users can securely share a single cable or DSL connection. The router has a 10/100 Ethernet LAN switch with four connections and an Ethernet WAN connection for connection to a broadband modem. Several security functions such as SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall for automatic detection and blocking of DOS attacks (denial of service) and other manipulations, VPN initiation / termination and pass-through support; Cost-effective protection and secure connection to central locations and / or secure access to remote employees. Network and Port Address Translation (NAT / PAT) for maintaining expensive public IP addresses and ensuring data protection. The V100 router comes with presets, setup wizards and a browser interface to simplify installation, configuration and management.
